A silver 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Willys edition is off-roading on rocks after leaving a Jeep dealer near me.

Wrangling Up 2020’s Top 10 Jeep Wrangler Trims

If you searched “Jeep Dealer Near Me” and hoped to find some info on 2020 Jeep Wranglers, you’re in luck. There are way more trim options than you’d think, which can quickly become overwhelming, so it’s important to know what you’re bargaining for. Plus, some trims come in either 2-door or 4-door options, and some are 4-door only. It’s also good to know the differences before heading to the dealership.

With 13 trim options available, we’re only going to look at the ten coolest trims. We’re only scratching the surface with each one. Otherwise, we’d be here all day. These highlights should help you better understand each 2020 Wrangler trim, so get your Jeep Wave ready. You’re about to become part of the club.

2020 Sport S

Out of all three Sport options, the Sport S is the best deal for your dollar. It’s only approximately $3,000 more than the regular Sport trim, but it comes with higher technology and safety features. It has blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-path detection, making it the safest Sport option. Those extra $3,000 cover a lot of ground.

Sport Wranglers are the best if you’re looking for affordability. With heated power exterior mirrors and deep-tinted windows, the Sport S is an amazing place to start. Don’t cast aside the Sport options just because they’re typically more basic. These 2020 Sport trims still come with handy modern technologies.

2020 Sahara

The Sahara is always a great mid-level Wrangler trim option. It has plenty of customization options, and it includes all the latest tech features as well. You can add several packages, including the cold weather package, which includes heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and remote start. The Sahara comes with a 3.6-liter engine and a 6-speed manual transmission. However, you can opt for 8-speed automatic options as well.

Additionally, for those who need it, there’s a towing package option. The Sahara comes with multiple top options, including a power top, which is handy for those who don’t want to lift and tug to remove their Jeep’s roof. The 4-door Sahara starts out at $38,645, but additional options such as the power top will raise the price.

The 2020 Rubicon Recon

A blue 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Recon is parked off-road in front of mountains.

This one is great if money isn’t an issue. The 2-door Rubicon Recon starts out at $43,450, and the 4-door begins at $46,950. The Rubicon Recon is one of the best options where aesthetic is concerned. It comes with Rubicon decals and an American flag outlined in red next to the front fenders. You can easily make this one more patriotic by choosing either Ocean Blue, Firecracker Red, or Bright White exterior paint. This also works if you’re into Spider-Man. Either way.

The Recon only comes in automatic, and it has steel front and back bumpers. This one can either be 2-door or 4-door. Compared to the regular Rubicon, the Recon comes with red seatbelts and hood vents. It’s definitely a sportier approach.

The 2020 Sport Wrangler

While the Sport S is the better option in terms of features, the regular Sport is great for minimalists. Despite it being the lowest-level trim, it still comes with a rear back-up camera, a touch screen, and Bluetooth audio streaming. It is available in all the basic colors, and it’s the most affordable on the lot with the 2-door version starting at $28,295. You can’t beat that price.

This is a great starter Jeep. It’s the cheapest way to get a Wrangler. Plus, all trims look very similar, so no one will even spot the difference. You can even upgrade to a hard top if soft tops aren’t your thing. There’s plenty of room for customization.

The 2020 Willys Sport Wrangler

This trim’s theme dates all the way back to World War II when Jeeps were first used as army vehicles. The Willys comes with Heritage Tan interior, and like other trims, you can get it in Sarge Green to really pull off the army aesthetic. This paint option comes at no additional cost, unlike other colors.

The Willys has a larger 3.6-liter 24-valve engine that comes with start and stop technology (ESS). Its standard is manual, with optional automatic transmission. Don’t forget the good ole Willys decals on the swing gate and on the hood. These decals help make it unique while calling attention to its nostalgic name.

The 2020 Freedom

This one is pretty basic, but it comes with many standard features. The Freedom has a leather-wrapped steering wheel, power windows, voice command with Bluetooth, trailer sway damping, hill start assist, a security alarm, and much, much more. It’s a good option if you’re not looking for anything super unique, yet you don’t want the baseline trims. Unlike cheaper options, its standard features keep you from falling into high add-on costs. The 2-door Freedom starts at a low $34,190.

The 2020 2-Door Rubicon

This trim is well worth your dollar. While the Rubicon Recon is definitely sportier on the outside, that doesn’t mean that the regular Rubicon isn’t worth your time. Its interior is red and black, with a red dashboard and glove compartment, creating a killer aesthetic. The downside is that this only pairs well with certain colors, so be mindful of your exterior color options.

The red interior pairs best with Firecracker Red, Ocean Blue, Bright White, and Black exterior paint options. Keep in mind that it clashes with Hellayella and Sarge Green. If you’re into 2-doors, this is one of the best ways to go. It’s sporty, packed with tech, and you can get it for under $40,000. The Rubicon is a timelessly great Wrangler trim.

The 2020 Black And Tan Trim

A Black and Tan edition 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is parked in front of desert mountains at sunset.

Okay, sure, the name isn’t the most original. However, it’s accurate. There’s nothing really special here aside from this Wrangler’s appearance. Oddly enough, you can customize this one NOT to be black and tan, which, as a result, ruins the name – but while tempting, being silly is not worth the extra cost.

If you’re into the black and tan aesthetic though, it’s a nice win since the black and tan customization style is standard for this trim, meaning no extra charge. However, you can only choose tan seats and granite wheels, even if you change the exterior color. The black and tan aspect stays standard in those cases. Most other exterior colors don’t pair too well, so it’s best to stick with black.

The 2020 High Altitude

It’s no surprise that this one makes the list. After all, it is the most expensive trim option, and its name literally means “high height.” That’s about as high on the list as it gets. Only available in 4-door, the Wrangler High Altitude is an incredibly sharp option.

Despite its high price, it only comes in 5 different color options: black, granite, silver, blue, and white. It comes with larger, 20-inch black wheels and a painted top. Additionally, you can get a diesel engine if you prefer it, and an 8-speed automatic transmission. This Jeep defines capability. If you want to splurge, you definitely won’t regret it.

The 2020 Sahara Altitude

I guess you could say that emotions are running high with all this altitude talk going on. Again, another Altitude makes the list, and it’s the Sahara version this time. With its body-colored fender flares, Apple CarPlay, and push-button start feature, it’s a pretty neat package. The Sahara Altitude comes in 4 different engine options, including eTorque and diesel. This is another trim that’s only available in 4-door, so stick with the Rubicon, Willys, or the Sport S, to name a few, if you like that 2-door action best.

Wrangling It Up

Well, there you have it. These are 10 of the coolest 2020 Jeep Wrangler options on the market. Remember that despite trim differences, every Jeep comes with a standard-sized spare tire. There’s no donut rolling when you’re a Wrangler driver. Further, there’s no way to go wrong here. Each Wrangler offers its own features and personal aesthetics, but overall, they all come with the same dependability. It’s impossible to be disappointed with a new Jeep Wrangler.
