Let’s Explore the 2024 Lexus RX Styles

The Lexus RX is one of the most gorgeous and sophisticated luxury midsize SUVs on the market, giving you incredible style, bold performance, and much more to enjoy. If you’re interested in a Lexus RX for sale, however, and start checking them out, then you might quickly discover you have a lot of trim levels available to you. So many styles, in fact, that it can become overwhelming if you’re not sure how Lexus organizes what they offer. But I’m here to help because today I’m taking you through the options available for the 2024 Lexus RX and breaking everything down to be nice and easy. First, we’ll quickly check out the different powertrains available (because that’s part of how Lexus organizes their styles or trims), and then we’ll dig into each style to see what they have to offer.

A Brief Look at Lexus RX Engines

There are essentially five different styles available for the Lexus RX this year, but the lineup becomes massive because Lexus breaks things down by both the engine and style on offer. The base models tend to have the same features, but you’ll find numerous versions of it based on the engine it includes. So if you see an RX 350 model, then it has the standard 2.4L turbo I-4 engine that provides you with 275 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque. On the other hand, an RX 350h model features a 2.5L I-4 hybrid engine with 246 hp and 233 lb-ft of torque; this engine provides remarkable fuel efficiency so you can go longer between stops for gas, and it comes with all-wheel drive (AWD) standard.

Most 2024 Lexus RX styles come with one of these two engines, but you can also find an RX 450h+ model that features a plug-in hybrid engine with 304 hp. This engine also comes with AWD, and it gives you about 37 miles of all-electric driving range, though it’s only available with luxury-style features. Finally, a single high-end model is available as an RX 500h, which features a 2.4L turbo I-4 hybrid engine that delivers 366 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. This engine offers impressive fuel efficiency and remarkable power, letting the RX go from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.9 seconds, so it’s a fantastic choice if you want remarkable performance.

The 2024 Lexus RX Base Style

Now that we have a sense of what the different numbers mean when looking at Lexus RX models, let’s dig into the styles available and what each one offers. The baseline model for the 2024 RX doesn’t have a particular name, so if you just see “RX 350,” then you’re looking at the standard model. This one comes with Bi-LED headlamps and daytime running lights, LED fog lamps, and an LED Blade tail lamp that looks great and makes it easy for other drivers to see you. You get heated outside mirrors with an auto tilt-down feature when in reverse, plus the driver’s side dims automatically; 19-inch wheels are standard along with a power rear door.

Looking inside, the standard features on the Lexus RX include SmartAccess with push-button start/stop, ambient illumination, and multi-zone climate control. You get a NuLuxe interior with an eight-way power driver and front-passenger seats and a leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob. You’ll also find heated front seats in the base model, plus a 9.8-inch Lexus Interface Infotainment system and a 12-speaker Lexus Premium sound system. All of this comes together to make for a vehicle that you will look forward to driving each day, though this is only the foundation for what the other styles build upon, so let’s check them out.

The 2024 Lexus RX Premium

Moving up now to the Premium model, we get a luxurious ride that includes a number of enhancements over the baseline features. On the outside, we find a power tilt-and-slide moonroof along with roof rails, which are optional for the baseline style but included here; larger 21-inch wheels are available for the Premium along with a kick sensor for the power rear door. Inside, the Premium model includes a heated wood and leather-trimmed steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, a Lexus memory system for the driver’s seat, and a more luxurious interior thanks to black open-pore wood and ash bamboo trim. Additional options like a Panoramic View Monitor system and larger Lexus Interface display are available for the Premium but not offered on the baseline style.

The 2024 Lexus RX Premium+

With the Premium+ style, you get a number of additional upgrades, making the RX even more luxurious. Most of these enhancements are found inside, such as thematic ambient illumination with intelligent lighting that you can customize to make your environment more your own. The Premium+ style features a perforated leather-trimmed interior, rather than NuLuxe, with many of the same great features as the Premium model, including the heated wood and leather-trimmed steering wheel and other wood details throughout. A digital rearview mirror is available for this model, while the larger 14-inch Lexus Interface Infotainment display is standard for it.

The 2024 Lexus RX Luxury

As you might expect, the Luxury style lives up to its name in a number of ways, starting with a panorama glass roof that affords a gorgeous view of the sky overhead. 21-inch wheels are standard on the Luxury model, while premium triple-beam LED headlamps are offered in an available package. Inside, the RX Luxury features a perforated semi-aniline leather-trimmed interior with 10-way power front seats including four-way power lumbar. Heated and ventilated rear seats are found in the Luxury style along with Ultrasuede interior door trim. A 10-inch color head-up display is standard here, while other features like a 21-speaker Mark Levinson PurePlay surround sound system and digital rearview mirror are available options.

The 2024 Lexus RX F Sport

The final style, the F Sport, is only offered with either the standard engine or the 500h performance hybrid engine—it’s the only style this engine is offered with. These models feature an F Sport-tuned suspension with gas-pressurized shock absorbers and a performance damper for enhanced drivability. Both of these F Sport models come with 21-inch wheels along with unique exterior badging and details like an F Sport front fascia and mesh grille insert to set them apart from other styles of the Lexus RX.

Inside, they come with thematic ambient illumination; the 350 F Sport has a NuLuxe interior while the 500h F Sport features a perforated leather-trimmed interior instead. Both models have eight-way power-adjustable front seats, heated and ventilated front seats, and a Lexus Memory system for the driver’s seat. You’ll find unique details inside these models, including F Sport perforated leather-trimmed steering wheels and shift knobs, aluminum pedals and scuff plates, and front seats with enhanced bolsters for added comfort, given their bold performance. A Dark Graphite aluminum trim helps them further stand out, while the larger Lexus Interface and Mark Levinson sound system are both available.

Which Lexus RX Has What You’re Looking For?

As you can see, the differences between the various styles of the 2024 Lexus RX can be pretty pronounced, especially as you move a couple of styles away from the baseline model. This gives you a wide range of options, and when combined with the various engines on offer, it’s easy to see why so many different versions of the RX have become available. From where I sit, the easiest way to figure this all out is to decide on which engine is best for you and then go from there since that can dictate which styles are available. This narrows things down quite a lot; with the engine chosen, you can then decide on which features are most important to you and get a luxury SUV with everything you want. Just remember that comfort features and impressive tech are the kinds of things people often overlook, and then regret missing out on, so choose wisely.
