Keep Truckin’ With Nissan

Nissan has a history when it comes to trucks. The iconic brand is known more for its brilliantly engineered cars and SUVs, but one stop at your local Nissan Frontier dealer, and you’ll see plenty of truck models on the lot as well. Nissan currently makes three show-stopping models, the midsize Frontier, the Titan full-size truck, and the Titan XD, the ultimate work truck. All three models have an impressive style plus an unrelenting work ethic that makes them appealing to truck drivers. In a world dominated by Ford and Chevy, Nissan makes its own way by providing an affordable, durable truck that delivers high performance with miles and miles of trouble-free driving.

Nissan’s History With Trucks

Many people are still out of the loop when it comes to Nissan and trucks. This is incredible, considering Nissan has been selling trucks in America since 1959! That’s 60+ years of incredible models that have flown under the radar thanks to the competitive truck market that just seems to get more ruthless every year. However, thanks to Nissan’s world-class engineering and style, they have managed to create some pretty eye-catching models that offer drivers a lot for less than other big names.

In 1959 Nissan doubted the Datsun 220. This was the first compact truck that Nissan offered in the U.S. market. Nissan continued to build on the original Datsun, updating it and rearranging it to make its own stamp on the market. In 1977 they released the Datsun 620, their first King Cab truck, and by the early 1980s, Nissan was manufacturing trucks right here in the U.S. with the Datsun 720.

It wasn’t long after, in 1997, that Datsun released their show-stopping Frontier, a midsize pickup truck that would prove to be popular, long-lasting, and affordable. Such an unbeatable combination didn’t go unnoticed, with the Frontier climbing to the top of truck buyers’ wishlists. By 2022 the Frontier would more than double its sales from the previous year and top the charts to become one of the top best-selling midsize trucks in America, ahead of other popular midsize trucks like the Chevy Colorado and the Ford Ranger. The Frontier recently entered its third generation in 2022 and is still going strong.

By 2004 Nissan went a step further, debuting the full-size powerhouse, the Nissan Titan. Buyers loved it! The spacious cabin, fresh style, and class-leading capabilities made the truck world sit up and take notice. The 2004 Nissan Titan was even named a finalist for the North American Truck of the Year in 2004. After various refr

eshes and updates, the Titan cruised into its second generation in 2016. This would bring an exterior facelift plus a powerful 5.6L V8 engine for improved capabilities and performance. 2016 also saw Nissan debut the Titan XD, a heavy-duty version of the full-size Titan. Drivers that needed more could now find it with the Titan XD.

All three trucks, the Frontier, Titan, and Titan XD, complete the current 2023 lineup for Nissan. Whether you’re looking for a top-performing everyday truck in the Frontier or need that heavy-duty power that a full-size Titan or Titan XD offers, Nissan offers affordable trucks for drivers that come brimming with features, tech, and style that are tough to beat.

The Nissan Frontier

The Nissan Frontier is billed as a “right size truck” that’s ready for everything from work to weekend adventures. So what does the truck have to offer buyers in 2023? For the new year, Nissan observed customer feedback and made changes reflecting their driver’s feedback. An all-new convenience package is available with heated seats, heated leather steering wheel spray on bed liner, under bed lighting, just to name a few. For 2023 drivers can expect to be impressed with the debut of the Frontier Midnight Edition package that will be available for the SV Crew Cab. This enhances the model’s 17-inch black painted alloy wheels, plus adds sleek design features like black mirrors, black interior accents, LED fog lights, and more.

Starting at $29,190, the all-new 2023 Nissan Frontier is packed full of convenience, comfort, and performance that checks all the boxes. Expect a standard 3.8L V6 engine to deliver a best-in-class 310 horsepower and a max towing capacity of 6,720 lbs when properly equipped. The Frontier’s powerful engine and smart features help take some of the stress out of towing. Enjoy the Intelligent Around View Monitor, which features helpful guidelines for extra precision when it comes to towing, hauling, and backing up. Trailer Sway Control helps drivers tow with confidence and keep their trailers in line. The Tow-Haul Mode with Downhill Speed Control is ready to help you tackle the roads, taking pressure off of gears for a safer, smoother ride.

This tough truck was designed to keep drivers comfortable on the inside. The spacious cabin, Zero Gravity Seating, and remote engine start were made to make your day a little better. Level up to the King Cab to seat up to four or the Crew Cab for seating of up to five. Available additional comfort features like a power sliding moonroof and heated seats, steering wheel, and mirrors are all little touches designed to help drivers customize their experience to make every drive unforgettable.

The Titan and Titan XD

If more power and a beefy frame are what you need, then Nissan is set to deliver with their full-size Titan and Titan XD trucks. The Titan starts at $39,700, and you can bet it’s bringing its A-game. With class-leading horsepower, updated tech, and driver assist features, the Titan is ready to make light work of your toughest jobs.

Equipped with a Nissan Endurance V8 engine, the Titan is the only pickup truck with a standard 400 horsepower. Pair that with 413 lb-ft of torque and a nine-speed automatic transmission for an impossibly smooth, responsive drive that’s ready to tackle the next job when you are. On the job site or off-road, the Nissan Titan is ready to take you there. Shift-on-the-fly four-wheel drive lets drivers up the traction and power when tackling mountain roads or turn it back down when they hit the pavement.

If more is what you’re after, the Titan XD is ready to answer the call. Choose from one of four trims to get your ideal features and performance levels. Go for the Crew Cab to take advantage of the XD beast’s max towing capacity of up to 11,033 and a max payload of 2,408 lbs. When you’re ready to take care of the business, the Titan XD is there.
