How Drivers Can Get a Personal Look at the New Mazda CX-5

While the Mazda CX-5 will be hitting Mazda dealerships relatively soon, consumers will have a unique opportunity to get a first-hand look at the compact SUV. Thanks to the brand’s cross-country tour, potential buyers will learn why they may be opting for Mazda when they pursue a new ride…

You already may be familiar with Mazda’s impressive CX-5 compact sports utility vehicle, but the brand is still hoping to entice potential customers by providing them with an up close and personal look at the new product.

The brand will soon be kicking off their 15-city “Experience the All-New 2017 Mazda CX-5” tour. Instead of relying on prospective customers to visit Mazda’s dealerships, the brand is alternatively traveling to major cities around the United States to show off their impressive new vehicle. Drivers will even be allowed to experience the CX-5 on the road, providing them with a unique opportunity to freely test the new car.

Of course, the brand’s new model isn’t your typical CX-5 car. Engineers included several of their creative and unique designing strategies, including the “Soul of Motion” construction and the upgraded interior. When operating the vehicle, drivers will immediately notice the quiet ride, which is especially appreciated when traveling at high speeds. Mechanical inclusions like G-Vectoring Control allows drivers to manipulate throttle and steering, thus impacting the vehicle’s performance.

“Our goal is to engage our audience in an impactful way, in a location that’s convenient and familiar to them,” said Russell Wager, the vice president of marketing at Mazda North American Operations. “By allowing our customers to engage with our brand and our vehicles in an environment that is fun and interactive, we create the opportunity for potential customers to experience our personality as a brand.”

Alternatively, the brand is pursuing an “Intercept” endeavor, which will lead interested consumers through their respective city as they learn more about the brand and the CX-5. For instance, as Tanya Gazdik of MediaPost.com notes, these customers will learn how the lighter vehicle (as well as the brand’s Jinba Ittai “philosophy”) leads to an improved driving experience, as well as how innovative and intuitive technology can also assist drivers during any of their journeys.

The “Experience the All-New 2017 Mazda CX-5” tour kicked off recently in Los Angeles, and consumers can expect stops in Dallas, Houston, Miami, Orlando, Washington, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Cleveland, Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, Seattle, and San Francisco.

Of course, potential buyers could also visit their local Mazda dealership to get another look at the compact SUV. The vehicle includes a number of impressive specs, including a 2,000-pound towing capacity and an appreciated 31 mile per gallon highway fuel efficiency. Thanks to the incredible SKYACTIV 2.5-liter engine, drivers can expect 187 horsepower and 185 pounds-feet of torque.

The model was initially introduced back in 2012, and it reached dealer’s lots in time for the 2013 model year. The vehicle was celebrated for being the first to feature the SKYACTIV Technology, which revamped the vehicle’s design (making it lighter and more rigid), allowing for increased efficiency.

Clearly, the brand has continued to innovate, explaining why we’re all eagerly awaiting the chance to look at the new Mazda CX-5.
