Pickup Trucks

Pickup trucks are Chevy’s forte, so it is no wonder why many business owners choose to employ them in their fleets. The Colorado, Silverado, and Silverado HD are all solid choices, so which one you choose will depend on your unique needs.

The Chevy Colorado

The Chevy Colorado delivers an abundance of utility that you and your workers need to get the job done. This truck features a reconfigurable truck bed that comes with the StowFlex Tailgate. Its functionality is some of the best in its class, including a handy tailgate measuring tool. There are up to 17 tie-downs in the back that can help keep your items securely fastened down.

Able to work smarter and harder than many other pickups, the Colorado offers an optional 2.7L Turbo High-Output engine that serves up 310 hp. It comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission and sends power to all four wheels via the 4-wheel-drive (4WD) drivetrain. An available Advanced Trailering Package outfits the Colorado with a 2-inch receiver hitch and 4-pin and 7-pin connectors, a 4-way sealed connector, a 7-wire electrical harness, and an automatic locking rear differential. A steel drive shaft and Tech Bronze recovery hooks are also available for the Colorado, lending even more versatility to this truck.

The Chevy Silverado

The popular Chevy Silverado lets you choose between multiple powertrains to help you get the job done right. It has a 2.7L turbo engine that generates 310 hp, but there is also a 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 that comes with a dynamic fuel management system. That engine produces 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. A 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 is also available, giving the truck a 13,300-lb max towing capacity. There is even a diesel option; a DuraMax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel I-6 that provides 495 lb-ft of torque with a max towing capacity of 13,300 lbs.

The Silverado’s bed is all about functionality. It has 12 standard tie-downs, and you can opt for an automatic power-up/-down tailgate. This truck bed offers a best-in-class 89.1 cu.ft. of cargo space. Choosing the optional Multi-Flex Tailgate gives you six functions that help you load and unload all kinds of cargo.

The Chevy Silverado HD

Representing a high degree of capabilities is the Chevy Silverado HD, which is composed of both the 2500 and 3500. These Silverados offer tough industrial strength. The DuraMax 6.6L V8 engine serves up a massive 975 lb-ft of torque, which makes it an excellent choice for those who need to tow seriously heavy loads. In fact, the max tow rating with this engine is 36,000 lbs when properly equipped.

You can also utilize the vehicle’s segment-first Advanced Trailering System to see your trailer from a number of different vantage points. This system includes a pre-departure checklist, reminders for trailer maintenance, exterior diagnostics for trailer lighting, and temperature and pressure monitoring for the trailer’s tires. Opt for the power-folding and extending door-mounted mirrors for an even better look at your trailer.
