Make Tracks In The All-New 2024 Chevy Trax

You might think it’s too early to be thinking about 2024, but you know what they say: the early bird gets the worm—or in this case, a fully refreshed 2024 Chevy Trax. Whether or not you’re familiar with the Chevy Trax, we’re willing to bet you’re familiar with Chevy, so you know any vehicle they release will be top-of-the-line in terms of engines, reliability, and performance.

The Trax is Chevy’s smallest compact crossover, but that’s not to say it doesn’t pack a punch when it comes to power. Drivers can expect the same first-class engineering in the compact Trax as they can in Chevy’s larger SUVs and trucks. Don’t let its petite size fool you—the Trax is all Chevy where it counts.

Chevy Trax are reliable little vehicles for urban and suburban drivers alike. Whether you’re a solo commuter or have a small family, the Trax offers exceptional performance, with many models lasting upwards of 200,000 miles. Another thing to love about the compact cruiser? It’s affordable! A 2024 Chevy Trax can be yours, starting at $20,400 for the entry-level LS model. Want to level up? No problem! The 2024 Trax is offered in five different trim levels and tops out at the ACTIV trim option, available starting at only $23,900! If you’re looking to get the most bang for your buck and want a brand-new vehicle, the Chevy Trax is a value machine.

We’re excited to see what the 2024 Chevy Trax has going on. Rumors have that not only has the interior seen an overhaul in its design as well as upgrades in its tech, but the exterior has received a modern reboot. What’s more, the Trax has grown up! Chevy has added a few inches here and there, widening the base by two and extending the Trax by nearly a foot in length. That might not sound like much, but that means an increase in cargo space that can now hold nearly six-foot-long objects, along with a three-inch increase in legroom for drivers and passengers.

The 2024 Trax seems to keep getting better and better. For those who want a closer look, let’s dive in…

Performance

As we established, the Trax is part of the Chevy family, so we already know it’s going to deliver some stellar performance. After all, Chevy is a name famous for its iconic engines, and the 2024 Trax shares its engine with the Chevy Trailblazer. The compact crossover’s peppy 1.2L LIH engine delivers a fantastic 137 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque. This is the only powertrain offered for the Trax this year and is also only offered with front-wheel drive. We’re fine with both of these options because, while we want a vehicle that performs well, the Trax was designed more as an everyday ride and not for rugged off-roading or heavy-duty hauling. We feel that, as a compact crossover, it’s doing just fine power-wise.

The Trax does a great job of combining sporty performance and modern good looks. The redesigned exterior is larger than previous generations but remains light, which means it’s sure to retain that great combined fuel economy of 30 MPG. We also love that the Trax comes with a wide range of standard safety features in the form of the Chevy Safety Assist Suite. Drivers get access to the best driver assistance and safety technology that Chevy has to offer. While the Trax comes standard with six cutting-edge safety features, more are available if drivers decide to level up with options like Teen Drive Technology or an HD Rear Vision camera, just to name a few.

Comfort

Despite its compact size, the 2024 Trax offers comfortable seating for five plus a roomy cabin designed to be user- and kid-friendly. Drivers and passengers alike will love the standard Active Noise Cancellation, which will make having a conversation or listening to music easier and more naturalistic. Supportive seating combined with ample headroom and increased leg space means that, no matter where you’re sitting, there isn’t a bad seat in the house.

Wide rear doors and split 60/40 rear view seating allow for a comfortable ride or extra conceive when it comes to bringing along extras. Got luggage, gear, or building materials? Make use of the 2024 Trax’s expanded cargo space. Fold down all the seats to access up to 54.1 cu.ft. of stowage. The extra length added to the Trax’s frame means you get nearly six feet—plenty of space for sports or camping gear or hauling home materials from the hardware store for that kitchen reno.

The Trax’s cockpit was designed to be easy to use and driver-friendly. You can level up to an 11.0-inch display screen to make viewing and swiping easier than ever. Looking to go bigger in every way? The available 8.0-inch Driver Information Center keeps drivers aware of the speed and fuel levels while keeping their attention on the road. Additionally, available creature comforts like wireless charging for compatible smartphones, keyless entry, and Adaptive Cruise Control are ready to help take your drive to an all-new level.

Technology

As you would expect with an all-new look and rebooted design, of course, Chevy took the time to upgrade the Trax’s technology. Drivers looking for a driving experience custom-tailored to their needs will find it when they sync their smartphone with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Drivers can access their favorite music, audiobooks, and apps, all while getting navigation or sending and receiving texts. Drivers can connect with the myChevrolet app, too, to further personalize their infotainment system with favorite apps, preferred radio stations, and more! All you have to do is get in and go! Sit back, relax, and let Trax do the rest.

Wireless phone integration is standard, while a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot is available to support additional devices like tablets and laptops. Drivers can stay on top of their vehicle’s levels, make service appointments, and more when they connect with the myChevrolet app that comes standard with the 2024 Trax. The myChevrolet app works as a remote key fob when paired with Remote Start; if you parked your vehicle and can’t remember where, use this app to ping your Trax. The app delivers real-time navigation to help drivers get where they need to go a little easier, and you can use it to remotely check on your vehicle’s needs, like tire pressure or oil levels; you can stay up to date on recall notices, maintenance appointments, and more! Whatever you need, the myChevrolet app is here to help.
