The Nissan Rogue: one of the most popular compact SUVs out there, it’s currently in its third generation and was refreshed with an update and facelift for the 2024 model year. That means you won’t find a lot of crazy changes for the 2025 Rogue compared to what we saw last year, but there are still a few notable things worth keeping in mind. 2025 Nissan Rogue S – Starting Features and Options
Kicking things off, we have the S trim, which is the starting point and gives us the standard features the other models build upon. The Rogue is powered by a 1.5L engine that provides 201 hp and 225 lb-ft of torque, plenty for a small SUV like this, and it comes paired with an Xtronic continuously variable transmission along with front-wheel drive (FWD). Its small design and impressive engineering let the Rogue S get an estimated 30 MPG in the city and 37 MPG on the highway, letting you get around each day with fewer stops for gas.
On the outside, you’ll find 17-inch wheels on the S trim, along with LED headlights featuring signature lighting for an extra touch of style. You’ll find a black grille with chrome accents that give the Rogue a bold and sophisticated look, a standard push-button ignition, and a manual rear door for loading and unloading the back cargo area. Inside, the Rogue S has a six-way adjustable driver’s seat, cloth seating, and room for five passengers across two rows. You get an eight-inch NissanConnect infotainment display up front, a four-speaker sound system, and more to enjoy when you’re on the road.

2025 Nissan Rogue SV – Enhanced Features and More to Enjoy
Moving up to the SV trim gets you a number of upgrades and enhancements inside and out, which is great if you’re looking for a few extra things beyond what’s standard. For example, the SV has 18-inch wheels for a bolder stance and look, along with a Nissan Intelligent Key system that makes it easier to get in and get going in the morning. The SV also has heated side mirrors to help keep them clear in all kinds of weather, plus a moonroof is available for this trim level—though it’s not included. You get a number of upgrades inside the SV, too, such as a power-adjustable eight-way driver’s seat, a TailorFit leatherette steering wheel, and a six-speaker sound system to improve your time on the road.
2025 Nissan Rogue SL – Additional Refinement and Options
As nice as the enhancements from the S to the SV are, the jump in features that you get with the SL is arguably the most pronounced for the Rogue. For example, on the outside, the SL has 19-inch wheels, turn signal indicators on the side mirrors, and bold overall looks. Inside, upgrades are even more impressive: heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, leather seating, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Better yet, the SL comes with a NissanConnect 12.3-inch Infotainment display along with a 12.3-inch reconfigurable LCD instrument cluster display, making it easy to use different apps and for you to get the most from driving this compact SUV. The SL comes with enhanced safety and driver assistance features, including an HD Enhanced Intelligent Around View Monitor that gives you a 360-degree view around the Rogue while you’re maneuvering at low speeds, plus ProPILOT Assist 1.1 for advanced cruise control that makes long road trips and daily commutes much easier.
2025 Nissan Rogue Platinum – Top-Tier Rogue Experience
The pinnacle trim for the Nissan Rogue, the Platinum model, gives you just about everything that’s available for this model. Along with 19-inch wheels, for example, the Platinum comes with the dual-panel panoramic moonroof that’s available but not included with a lot of the previous trim levels we looked at. Inside, you get heated front seats with heated rear seats available, quilted semi-aniline leather-appointed seating that looks and feels great, plus the large 12.3-inch displays that we saw in the SL. Taking things even further, the Platinum includes a Bose 10-speaker sound system that you won’t find on the previous trims, a wireless charging pad, and more great features.
2025 Nissan Rogue Rock Creek Edition – Rugged Design for the Outdoors
Whether you want to call this a trim level or a special edition is up to you, but either way, the Rogue Rock Creek represents a fun option if you’re looking for something rugged and ready to do a bit of off-roading. One thing I haven’t mentioned yet is that all of the previous models have Nissan’s Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD) available along with the standard FWD system; the Rock Creek model comes with AWD standard instead. It also features Hill Descent Control to help provide consistent speed while going downhill without the need to constantly adjust braking.
A number of features help this model stand out, including 17-inch dark-painted beadlock style wheels that are perfect for heading off-road, wrapped in all-terrain tires to provide added traction and control in rough conditions. The Rogue has a black tubular roof rack that is weather-resistant and easy to load up with supplies for camping or otherwise heading outdoors, along with an exclusive Rock Creek grille with Lava Red accents on the outside to help it stand apart from other Rogue trims. Inside, this model features leatherette-appointed seating that looks good and is durable, with contrast stitching and more details to make it stand out. This might not be the best choice for the most demanding trails in the US, but it is a good pick for light off-roading.
Does the Nissan Rogue Have What You’re Looking For?
The answer to that depends on what you’re looking for, of course, but you can see that the Rogue has a lot to offer, and there are plenty of good reasons it has become such a popular Nissan SUV. Although the S trim is a good place to start, I do think the SV gives you enough upgrades to be a better choice for most drivers since it’s only a small increase in price. The SL is probably the best overall combination of features and pricing, with the Platinum having the most to offer for folks who have a budget that allows for it. And with the Rock Creek, Nissan gives you a very nice option if you’re looking for something to get to campsites or do light off-roading without breaking the bank.
