How the 2024 GMC Acadia Denali and 2024 GMC Acadia AT4 Differ

GMC is one of the front-running brands in the affordable luxury SUV market. There’s a sense of opulence in GMC vehicles that is unique to this brand. If you’re driving with a big family in tow, GMC vehicles have the features and performance you are looking for, especially an SUV such as the GMC Acadia. This model has a variety of amenities families on the go need, with the capability and performance needed to stay the course in multiple scenarios and make each ride an adventure.

A GMC dealer will be sure to inform you of the convenience and performance that the Acadia can offer, even in its base trim. But, as is the case with many different vehicles, the true potential of the Acadia is really on display in its higher trim levels. Models such as the Acadia Denali and Acadia AT4 take this SUV’s performance to the next level, and GMC is taking things even further.

The Trims

The GMC Acadia has what families need in an SUV on multiple levels, and depending on which trim level you’re looking at, you’re sure to have a different overall experience. The Acadia Denali model is specifically designed to provide convenience and utility, with various features and amenities that streamline each drive. But just because it’s designed with comfort in mind doesn’t mean it’s not capable. The GMC Denali is, after all, a GMC vehicle, which means that it’s got a lot going for it in terms of power and capability for spontaneous adventure.

For some families, getting behind the wheel is all about finding adventure. If you feel the wild calling out to you, the Acadia AT4 model is what you’ve been waiting for. With some next-level advanced off-road features that make for a focused all-terrain experience, the AT4 trim level of the GMC Acadia is adventure-ready from the moment you step inside the vehicle.

Standard Safety and Driver Assistance Features

On both the Acadia Denali and the AT4, you will find many great features present. Both feature IntelliBeam high beam assist, which will automatically turn off your high beams when you are approaching oncoming traffic and put them back on when there are no oncoming cars. This makes driving at night convenient.

You’ll love the front pedestrian and bicycle braking, rear cross traffic braking, rear pedestrian detection, intersection automatic emergency braking, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and reverse auto braking systems. All of which are designed to help limit accidents. These are just a few of the standard features available on the two Acadia trims.

2024 Acadia Denali

Performance

The 2024 Acadia Denali provides a good blend of luxury and power so that families can stay comfortable, safe, and secure throughout all of their travels. For 2024, a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine provides the Denali Acadia model with 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque, giving the vehicle extensive performance power one might not expect from an SUV.

Larger vehicles often place an emphasis on convenience and comfort, and for good reason. These two attributes are important for families that are on the go, but having the power to push through particularly difficult slogs is also important. GMC is aware of this, which is why they’re providing families with the tools they need to always travel with confidence.

The 2024 Acadia Denali model’s intuitive powertrain also makes it capable of towing up to 5,000 pounds, meaning that this Acadia is more than capable of hauling trailers, boats, campers, and more.

Comfort and Convenience

This model features lots of interior room for up to eight passengers, meaning that your friends/family who may want to tag along for the ride can sit comfortably. The Denali features perforated leather-appointed seating. You can have heated and ventilated front seats and opt for heated second-row outboard seats. Your passengers will never want to get out of the Acadia again. In addition to being comfortable, the seats have one special convenient feature: with one touch, you can fold down your second row of seats, and your third-row of seats is power folding.

The Denali has plenty of optional features available for those who really want to elevate their drive. The first of these features is Super Cruise, a driver assistance feature that allows for hands-free driving across more than 400,000 miles of roads in the United States and Canada. 2024 is the first year that this system is available on the Acadia. You can also get this feature on the Elevation Premium and AT4 trims.

Standard on the Denali is a 12-speaker Bose audio system that can be upgraded to a 16-speaker system. A panoramic, pillar-to-pillar sunroof can also be added to the Denali trim so that you can have what feels like an open-air experience.

Incredible power, convenience, and luxury collide in the Denali trim of the 2024 GMC Acadia, making it fun, fast, and ready for anything.

2024 Acadia AT4

Performance

In the new year, the Acadia is certainly going to be adventurous, but no trim level of this SUV is redefining what SUV adventure capability looks quite like the 2024 GMC Acadia AT4. With the Acadia AT4 model’s singular and distinct identity also come some similarities to the 2024 Acadia Denali model. The AT4 trim shares the same powertrain as the Denali trim. With the help of some incredible and adventurous features, kicking up dust on the open road has never been easier with the Acadia AT4.

Features

Strategically placed skid plates keep the front and underside of the 2024 Acadia AT4 safe, no matter what kind of terrain you may be facing. An active torque control all-wheel drive system with twin-clutch rear differentials allows drivers to maintain proper control and handling of the vehicle no matter the scenario, and hill descent control helps with maneuverability even when taking on inclines.

The AT4 trim level also features special off-road-tuned suspension, keeping the ride comfortable and smooth for those inside so that no one gets bumped around too much while seeking out adventure. Additionally, selectable drive modes allow drivers to select from various options like “Terrain Mode” and the previously mentioned “Hill Descent Control.”

The 2024 Acadia AT4 puts a whole new meaning to the term “adventure SUV.”
