Those with more demanding jobs may favor the heavy-duty capabilities, may opt for big brother. Still impeccably drivable, both the 2500HD and 3500HD are well-served by both the 6.0-liter gasoline V8 and the 6.6-liter diesel variant. Of the two, the latter serves up a monstrous 445 hp and 910 lb-ft when paired to an Allison 1000 six-speed transmission. With 3200 LB max payload, and up to 18,100 LB towing capacity (when properly equipped) the Silverado will get the job done.
