Lots of trims mean lots of options, and the 2025 Honda CR-V is not short on trim options. I will give you a complete rundown of everything you need to know about the basics and the intricacies of each trim before you commit to shopping for a 2025 Honda CR-V for sale from your local dealer. Let me quickly give you a rundown of the basic specs first, and then we’ll take a closer look at what each trim has to offer.

2025 Honda CR-V Basics: Fuel Economy, Color Options, Capacity

The 2025 CR-V is available in six trim formats, half of which are hybrid. The gas-only trims are powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline 4-cylinder that produces 190 hp at 179 lb-ft of torque, and it’s paired to a CVT, also known as continuously variable transmission. You can get the 1.5-liter 4-cylinder in front-wheel or all-wheel drive. In front-wheel drive, it has a max fuel economy of 28 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on the highway, while with all-wheel drive, you can expect an estimated 26 MPG in the city and up to 31 MPG on the highway.

The hybrid trims come standard with a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder that is paired with electric motors that offer a total of 204 hp at 247 lb-ft of torque while being paired to what’s called an e-CVT. The 2.0-liter hybrid 4-cylinder manages a max fuel economy of 43 MPG in the city and up to 36 MPG on the highway in front-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive configuration manages 40 MPG in the city and up to 34 MPG on the highway. The gas-powered CR-V can tow up to 1,500 lbs, while the hybrid CR-V can tow up to 1,000 lbs.

Both versions of the 2025 CR-V can seat up to five people across two rows and offer a max cargo capacity of 39.3 cu.ft. of space behind the second row and up to 76.5 cu.ft. of space with the second row folded down. You can get the 2025 Honda CR-V in a total of eight different colors, depending on the trim format and location where you’re buying from. The colors include Urban Gray Pearl, Canyon River Blue Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, Solar Silver Metallic, Meteorite Gray Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, and Still Night Pearl.
