Drivers will also enjoy some new paint color options, including Everest White Pearl, Deep Ocean Blue Pearl, Baja Storm, and some two-tone options with a black roof. These changes and additional options give drivers more freedom to express their unique style in the 2024 Rogue.
Technology
Some of the biggest changes in the 2024 model will come in the form of in-cabin technology. Nissan has added Google built-in standard to the upper trims, SL and Platinum. Having Google built-in means you don’t need to sync up a smartphone or plug one into a USB port to search the internet in your vehicle. Google is built into the dashboard. So, even if you forget your phone at home, you’ll still have access to your favorite Google products, including Google Maps, Google Play, Google Assistant, and your other beloved search engine goodies, all right there on your touchscreen.
If you’re already highly comfortable with Google products, you’ll love seamlessly moving from using Google on your laptop to using it in your vehicle. Get ready to ask Google to make calls, look up directions, answer questions, and more for you with voice recognition powers.
You’ll also enjoy a three-year trial of Nissan Connect. That’s a significant jump from the 2023 Rogue’s six-month trial. NissanConnect puts you in touch with emergency response specialists after an accident to get you the help you need without having to pick up your phone. It also provides door-to-door navigation that picks up on your phone once you get out of the car and are on foot. Use it to control things in your vehicle from your smartphone, like the cabin climate and door locks. There’s a lot you can do with this service, and now you get it for three years free of charge in the 2024 model.
Newly standard on the SL trim are some more tech-forward treats, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, and a wireless charging pad so you can leave the cords at home. You’ll love these features for staying entertained and connected on the road.
What’s Remained the Same
Nissan made the smart choice to keep some fan favorites as-is. Here’s a look at what you’ll still get in the 2024 model, carried over from the 2023 model.
Technology
You’ll still get smartphone connectivity for Apple and Android devices on every trim. You’ll also still enjoy the full Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of drive-assist features (which, by the way, earned the Rogue a Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety a number of times). This suite includes automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot warning, lane departure warning, high beam assist, and rear automatic braking. Together, these features can be your second set of eyes and ears on the road in tricky and everyday situations.
Interior
Passengers and drivers alike have always loved the center console with its pass-thru design, making it easy for front-row passengers to send items to back-row passengers.
The Rogue’s impressive configurable cargo capacities remain intact, too. The maximum cargo space of 74.1 cu.ft. remains the same for the 2024 model year. It’s still achieved via the 60/40 split-folding rear seats that give you several options to create more cargo space. You’ll also still enjoy a recline function on these rear seats, too, so backseat passengers can get comfortable for long rides.
Continuing its legacy of excellent cargo capacity, the 2024 model keeps the ever-popular available Divide-N-Hide system. It provides two load floor positions, letting you make room for taller items and several other ways to adjust the cargo space to conceal and contain your belongings. As for accessing the cargo area, there is still an available hands-free power liftgate.
Powertrain
The 2024 model retains the 2023’s 1.5L turbo I-3 engine. That means you can still tow up to 1,500 pounds and enjoy 225 hp. That also means the prized EPA-rated fuel economy of 30 MPG in the city, 37 MPG on the highway, and a combined 33 MPG will almost certainly stay the same. The Rogue has been and continues to be a road-tripper/camper’s dream through and through.
Trims
The 2024 Rogue retains its four popular trims: the S, SV, SL, and Platinum. The S is the starting trim; the SV traditionally gets more convenience, tech features, and larger wheels. The SL takes things up a notch with luxury features like a dual-panel panoramic moonroof and even larger wheels. The Platinum is the top trim and adds luxury interior details like upscale upholstery and upgraded dashboard screens.

If you’re interested in the Rogue and unsure whether the 2023 or 2024 model is for you, you can’t really go wrong with either. However, the 2024 Rogue has a very different exterior design from the 2023 one, so ask yourself if you’re looking for something more adult and sophisticated or more youthful and rugged in appearance.
The biggest perk of the 2024 model, though, might have to be the Google built-in. If you find it a nuisance to sync your smartphone to your dashboard to use Google’s products, you’ll love having these ready to go in the infotainment system. However, throughout each trim are some new standard convenience and technology features that are an upgrade from the 2023 model. Plus, there are all of those new paint color options for more customization.
Again, prices aren’t out yet for the 2024 model, so if a few thousand dollars increase would be a dealbreaker for you, you might be going with the 2023. But only time will tell.
